HONORING ANKE NOLTING

THE ANKE NOLTING GARDEN WALK AT HAVEN PLAZA

We are enormously grateful to Anke Nolting for her outstanding service and dedication to our institution as the Associate Dean/Director of Development and Alumni Relations. 

Her warmth and presence welcomed generations of students, faculty, alumni, and donors through our doors – relationships she continued over the years.

For many, Anke had been the face of alumni affairs at our medical school. During Anke’s tenure, we saw many great accomplishments. Anke and her team helped to nurture generations of alumni, actively engaging them in many programs and projects over the more than four decades that she served. With her passion and advocacy for medical education and her key relationships with our alumni and faculty, her work led to the development of many important programs. 

Under Anke’s leadership we saw an increase in the endowment of professorships and scholarship endowment funds such as the Kenneth Forde Diversity Scholarship. Her work also contributed significantly to the establishment of key programs in genetics and in nurture science.  Anke also helped to spearhead the launch of the Wu Family China Center for Health Initiatives through her strong partnership and friendship with Clyde and Helen Wu and the extended Wu family.

Join us in celebrating Anke as we announce the Anke Nolting Garden Walk at Haven Plaza -- a walkable, green space at the center of our campus -- in her honor. With her love of students, horticulture, and community, we can see no more fitting tribute than creating this beautiful public space.
